Hyrum Mott

Hyrum initially traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with 14 other people in the William Snow/Joseph Young Company in 1850. However, he later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.

The Mott family is documented in two different 1850 companies. As the companies often traveled closely together, it was not uncommon for families to move from one to another during their journey.
