John King

John King is the son of John and Hannah King. The camp journal states that John R. King traveled with Hannah and their five children. It can be assumed that John traveled in the Alvus H. Patterson Company with his family.

The death certificate for John provides his death date. An approximate birth date is provided in the 1870 census, which states that John was 9 years old at the time of the census-taking. This would put his approximate birth date in the year 1861.
