Edna Agnes Flora Thomson

Edna arrived in New York on 13 Jule 1862 via the ship Manchester, traveling with her parents, John Prior Thomson and Sarah Simmons Thomson, along with siblings and extended family. Family tradition indicates that the Thomson family traveled as part of the James Wareham company in 1862. However, the Deseret News (8 October 1862) documented the death of a "Mrs. Thompson" in the James S. Brown Company. It is thought this was actually Lois Thomson of Edna's extended family. If that is the case, the family likely traveled with this company. Additional research is needed to identify which of the two companies they traveled with.

On Mormon Immigration Index and some family records,  Edna appears as Edward A. Thomson.
