Henry Dennison Durfee

In “Pioneers, Patriots, and Saints: Ancestors of Edgar Odell Wake and Siblings," by Ruth Wake, Henry is described as an express rider for Brigham Young who was sent out repeatedly to help pioneers cross the plains. He was a teamster in the Joseph Horne Company of 1861 and later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.
