He came with is family from England and served in the company as Captain of Ten. The 1860 William Tapscott ship register lists the Jones family as follows: Timothy (54), a gardener from Wales; Charles F. (29), a tinsmith from England; Hannah (32), wife, from England; Rose Hannah (3), from England; and Amy (1), from England.
