Levi Savage

There is evidence that Levi Savage, Sr. traveled with his son Matthew Daniel, in the Abraham O. Smoot/George B. Wallace Company in 1847.  It is possible that his other children Alanson, Emeline, Hannah Mariah, and Moroni Ervin also traveled with their father and brother.  However, further research is needed to confirm or deny that.

Levi Sr. again traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the Brigham Young Company in 1848.  It’s possible that the rest of Levi’s children traveled with him at this time.

Levi Jr. joined the Mormon Battalion and in 1847, he traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the Levi W. Hancock/Jefferson Hunt/James Pace/Andrew Lytle Company.
