Joseph Walton

Walton arrived in New Orleans on 19 March 1852 via the ship Kennebec.

Although Walton is listed as an individual on the roster of the Clawson company, he also is listed with his family on the roster of the Wheelock company. We have no documentation or explanation why his name appears on the rosters of both companies.

The death certificate abbreviates his given name to "Jos". Birth date is confirmed at the time of a rebaptism in Millcreek Ward on 29 April 1855.
