    Elder Samuel Mulliner left his home in Springfield, Ill. and started on a mission to Great Britain. He arrived in New York Aug 10th. preached in New York and visited Kirtland, Ohio. (Hist. Rec 6: 352.) 1844-375: Elder Milliner was called to serve in conferences in Illinois with 33 other Elders under the leadership of Elisha H. Groves and Morris Phelps on a special mission. These Elders were to present to the people "Gen. Smith's views of the powers and policy of the general government."
