Karl G. Maeser: Example for Africa

Anthony Obinna gained a strong testimony and taught restored truths long before the Church came to Nigeria. For eight years, his letters requesting a formal opening of the work in his homeland were answered with Church literature, but no missionaries. Still, he remained steadfast. “Dr. Karl G. Maeser continued writing and the Church was brought to his people,” he told the Apostles in one of his letters. “The Spirit of God calls us to abide by this church and there is nothing to keep us out.”
