A Missionary Experience

Inez Knight, one of the first two single sisters called on a full-time mission, was harassed by a mob at a mission office in Bristol, England. She recorded: “As we went in they hissed & shouted at us, & after we were in, rocks were thrown thick & fast in the windows until not a glass remained in the house.” She and her companion then fled to a nearby police station, where they not only reported the incident but also had “a Gospel conversation” with those in the police station.
