A Willing Missionary

Early in 1860, Brigham Young called Eugène Alphonse Henriod to return to his native France as a missionary “so soon as grass and the snow in the mountains will permit.” Elder Henriod responded immediately: “I want to labour where I can do the most good, & if it is away from home, let it be so, all I want is your blessing & good will.” He did not yet know how he would raise the means to travel, but he would do what he could and “trust in the Lord for the balance.”
