A Flavor of the Past

The second to last issue of the Improvement Era, published in November 1970, was unusual; almost its entire contents were reprinted favorites from the magazine’s past 73 years. “Only a brief and highly selective sampling of our 73,000 pages can be presented in this issue,” editor Jay M. Todd wrote in the introduction of the issue. These included an editorial from each Church President who had contributed to the magazine, poetry, fiction, and articles chosen “to give a flavor of the past.”
