    Qualifying for Blessings

In the 1800s, Latter-day Saints prayed for God’s blessings as they built up new communities. But they did not always remember to share what they’d been given. “We cannot expect the blessings of God unless we look after the poor,” George Q. Cannon reminded members in the Bear Lake area in 1894. “It is not for one to possess all the wealth and another be destitute. There is enough to supply all.”
