    “Even Our Parents Would Show Up”

    In the early 1960s, the Church was still very small in the Philippines, but the MIA (a predecessor to the Young Men and the Young Women organizations) held regular drama nights, music nights, and game nights. “Even our parents would show up and join the activities,” Nenita Gapiz recalled. “It was beautiful.”
