Daniel Ezra Jackson

Evidence from emigration, newspaper and church records proves that the Jackson family traveled to Utah in 1868. They sailed to America in 1868, the obituaries of Enos and Ephraim give their Utah arrival year as 1868, and a church ordinance was performed for the father in Salt Lake City on 8 Mar. 1869, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. A secondary source states that the family came to Utah in the 1868 John R. Murdock Company, but this is incorrect. The Emerald Isle ship that the Mother and children came to America on did not arrive in New York until 14 August 1868. The father came on the 1868 John Bright, which arrived in New York 14 July 1868. The Murdock Company left Laramie, Wyoming for Salt Lake City on July 17th. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company the family traveled with.
