Ann Clewley

Ann's husband William Clewley appeared in the 1852 Iowa census, living in Pottawattamie County. (The census was taken before 6 July.) William was the only male in his household but there were two females (almost certainly Ann and their daughter Sarah Ann). William died (according to New Family Search), on 10 July 1852. It is not clear where his death occurred. Additional research is needed to determine if he died on the trail and to identify the name of the pioneer company with which Ann and Sarah Ann crossed the plains. (Church ordinance records prove they were in Utah before 3 October 1852.) Upon reaching the valley, Ann was assigned to settle in Utah County.
