George Henry Gines

George and his family crossed the plains sometime between March 1859 (when a daughter--Mary Elizabeth--was born at Florence, Nebraska) and 19 December 1863 when Ann (George's wife), received church ordinances at Salt Lake City. The 1928 death certificate of Sarah Ann Gines Alt (another daughter) says she had been a resident of Salt Lake City for 67 years (i.e. since 1861). The obituary of Mary Elizabeth Gines Pace says she crossed the plains with her parents when she was 3 years old (i.e. 1862). Additional research is needed to identify the exact year of travel and the name of the pioneer company with which they crossed the plains.
