Jens Jensen

Some sources say that Jens, his wife Johanna and their sons Jens and John crossed the Atlantic on the ship Westmoreland in 1857, however, an examination of the ship's manifest does not support this information. There is a Jens Jensen (b. ca. 1831) on this ship but the only woman who could be Johanna (an Anna Marie Jensen) is a spinster. The two boys are not listed. Additional research is needed to determine the year of their immigration from Denmark and the name of the ship upon which they sailed.
