Ernestine Dourine (Douerine) Jacobs

From France. Church records prove she emigrated in 1853. On the 1853 passanger list of the ship Elivra Owen she is listed as Ernestine "Caron" with two sons: Henry (age 4)and Eugene (age 2); but Eugene did not come to America. In the U.S. census of 1860 Ernestine is listed as Ellen S. Nichols (age 31) in the household of Josiah Nichols of American Fork, Utah. In this same census is a twelve year old boy named Hy (Henry).
